
Try printing and scanning from your PC again and check.Open the downloaded file, follow onscreen instructions and complete installation Download the printer driver and install it from this link.Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files. Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows.
If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'. In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP printer. In Windows, search for 'Control Panel' and look for 'View devices and printers'option under 'Hardware and Sound'. In Windows, search for 'Control Panel' and open 'Programs' or 'Programs and features' and select 'Uninstall a Program'. Let's try uninstalling the printer and re-installing the printer driver at the root level. This looks like it could be a printer driver issue. Sorry to turn this problem into a Saga and I will more than likely buy a new printer, but if someone knows the answer it might help another printer rooky at some for reaching out to the HP Support community! The HP Printer assistant now only highlights PRINT and will not entertain SCAN. I have installed a new cartridge for Black but it still shows as almost empty. To make matters worse My ink estimate shows almost empty for Black but Ok for colour. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer software on more than one occasion but it is still the same. Using the Print and Scan docor on Print shows 'Device Status' in red and on Scan shows 'Driver Check' in red. I am using an automaticaly updated version of windows 10. After an Automatic software update from HP I am now unable to scan from my computer albeit the printer will scan with manual intervention and I can print from the network connection.
